Dr. Ramya, born and raised in Devalakere village, Tumakuru (Karnataka) graduated in Sericulture from University of agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru (Karnataka) in the year 2014. Thereafter she obtained Masters’ degree and Ph.D. in Agricultural Entomology from ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. She joined Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in April, 2023. She is a 1st ranker in ICAR-JRF and recipient of ICAR-Junior Research Fellowship (2014), ICAR-Senior Research Fellowship (2016). She received NAHEP-CAAST Research grant for her Ph.D. research and International fellowship to complete her internship at University of Delaware, New York, USA.
