During the year 2019, NEH component of ICAR-IIAB was implemented in five districts of Manipur viz., Imphal West, Churachandpur, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, and Chandel. The program was implemented in collaboration with ICAR-Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre. Under the program, ICAR-IIAB conclusively demonstrated the performance of improved varieties of rice, maize, soybean, groundnut, rajma, rice bean, black gram etc. at more than 460 farmers’ fields. Besides, 12 capacity building programs on scientific cultivation of high-yielding varieties of different crops and vermicompost production were organized for the beneficiary farmers.
