ICAR-IIAB, Ranchi inks MoU with CGKV, Durg

ICAR-Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology (IIAB), Garhkhatanga, Ranchi has inked a MoU with Dau Shri Vasudev Chandrakar Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya (CGKV), Durg, Chhattisgarh on June 14, 2024 for academic and research collaboration. The MoU was signed by Dr. R. R. B. Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (VC), CGKV and Dr. Sujay Rakshit, Director, ICAR-IIAB at CGKV Durg in presence of senior administration and faculties of CGKV and IIAB. ICAR-IIAB is mandated to conduct basic and strategic research in agricultural biotechnology and development of quality human resources. CGKV works with a mission to customize an integrated approach for all round development of livestock, poultry and fisheries through quality education, research and development of technologies and extension to the end users for sustainable productivity to augment and garner a dynamic livestock economy for the state. Dr. Singh, Hon’ble VC expressed hope that the MoU will translate into active collaboration in planning and execution of research programmes by the faculties including students’ research works jointly. Dr. Rakshit, Director assured the availability of scientific manpower, research facilities and resources of the Institute for advanced research in animal and fishery sciences. On this occasion, an interactive meeting was held with the CGKV faculties regarding possible areas for research collaboration based on mutual strength and complementarity. The visiting team of IIAB comprising of the Director and Dr. Soumen Naskar, Pr. Scientist were extended a warm welcome and shown the advanced academic and research facilities and animal farms of the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Durg, guided by Dr. Sanjay Shakya, Dean and the faculties.
