Dr. Binay K. Singh graduated in the discipline of Agriculture from the Institute of Agricultural
Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in the year 2000. He completed his M.Sc. and
Ph.D. in the discipline of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the National Research
Centre on Plant Biotechnology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi in the year
2002, and 2008, respectively. After completion of Ph.D., joined as Scientist – B (Biotechnology)
at Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, Dehradun, and served for about two years
(2006-2008) at the Institute of Forest Productivity, Ranchi (Jharkhand). In the year 2008, he was
selected for Agricultural Research Services (ARS) and served as Scientist for nearly eight years
at the Directorate of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, Bharatpur (Rajasthan). In the year of 2015, he
was selected as Senior Scientist through the direct selection of the ICAR and posted at the Indian
Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology, Ranchi.
